Floot Loops (1979)
Moderately advanced, in various jazz styles. A gift to Marion with titles referencing various facets of our early lives together in Columbia. A loopy blues making light of various mishaps (“13-bar Bloos”), a jazz waltz/lullaby about the guaranteed fatigue at the end of endless long days (“Zeed”), a ballad about the necessity of having to live apart for a couple of 4-month periods as we both pursued professional opportunities (“Letters Home”), a bossa-nova about the three cats who allowed us to live with them (“Cat’s Meow”), and an edgy swing tune about the quirky stories that came out of Marion’s job as a dispatcher at a temporary help agency (“Temporary Help”). $12, available from Alfred Music here.
